Who is Laurie Soper?

CONSULTANT
After completing two arts degrees from Wilfrid Laurier
University and University of Waterloo, Laurie began her
career at the Canadian Legal Information Centre in
Toronto, where she became a Plain Language Consultant
for government and legal firms.
Since 1991, Laurie has
helped dozens of companies enhance customer service,
increase productivity, cut costs, and win big deals, serving
a diverse spectrum of clients in financial services, high tech,
law, non-profit, retail and professional consulting.

TEACHER
Laurie has taught English Literature at University of Waterloo,
University of Western Ontario, and McMaster. She has taught
business communications at Seneca, Humber, and Sheridan
Colleges as well as University of Toronto, and has trained dozens
of executives and entrepreneurs to write more easily and more clearly.

INSPIRATIONAL SPEAKER
Laurie
has proven a compelling and inspiring public speaker for
diverse audiences, on topics relating to work and life choices.

STUDENT COACH
After 20 years of consulting, Laurie decided to dramatically
simplify her life, write her books full time, and coach university
and college students in the Waterloo region.

AUTHOR
Author of Red Wine & Popcorn: Doing Business like a Bohemian
(2004), Laurie is now working on her second book, a panoramic
historical exploration of government and law.
